I'm an English and grammar geek. So any Nintendo DS game based on word usage is alright with me. If you like word games, this is something you should consider.



Spelling Challenges and More is a great Nintendo DS game for word geeks like me. You'll think the game is for kids if you judge by its cover. But adults can enjoy this game just as much as kids can.

The challenges are based on your age. So assuming you input your correct age, you'll get an age appropriate skill level. In other words, a 10-year old kid won't get the same challenges as a 50-year old kid at heart. But no matter your starting level, the challenges get harder as you progress.

The Games

There's a nice variety of mini-games here. You get to pick the word that's spelled wrong, unscramble the word, pick the correct word from a list of misspelled words, and spell the word that flashes on the screen.

The mini-games are timed, and you get coins based on your score. A high score earns you more coins. Gameplay is controlled by the stylus. So if you can read, spell, and use a stylus, then you can play this game.
